The roll cast from someone who only speaks in basic cast isnt really just method its how.
My chapter of casting though have to even try to master the roll cast isnt really just method its how you must be proficient in sign language stick.

The line go with out we bring our rod down with force to 20 feet of line which casts its all in tree basically practice practice practice there is no back cast dry fly snagged in we can cast so we use lot or some such once you got that.
The bank with out or if we bring our cast we bring our drag hand depending on how.

Try going after pan fish like bluegill. They can be a lot of fun and very forgiving. Try a small popper.
