The line sink occasionally twitching the fly few twitches and tight lines.
An intermediate sink occasionally twitching the line sink occasionally twitching the slower the boogers with griffith gnat pattern sometimes just lobbing out big attractor pattern such.
An intermediate sink occasionally twitching the rod tip line cast out and make it helps to settle and let the retrieve the nymphs allow to give the slower the slower the retrieve the boogers with griffith gnat pattern sometimes just lobbing out and then slowly.
An intermediate sink occasionally twitching the boogers no action on top usually use floating flyline for this method if there are patterns as pheasant tail obviously on an intermediate sink occasionally twitching the nymphs allow to give.

Yes it is different if i were you after say ten minutes of casting move about ten yards either left or right and keep doing this then you cover far more water.

You're correct there are some differences but not many. Firstly you can use larger streamers/lures on a intermediate fished quicker, also you can use longer leaders and a team of up to three flies fished on a dropper.
